The Venice Awakening

1979-1985
It all began in a Venice/Santa Monica apartment in September 1979, where Greg first picked up his pen to write songs. What started as a creative spark quickly became a journey of learning and growth through Buddy Kaye's songwriting workshop at UCLA in 1980.
Met his future wife at McCabes during a workshop performance in 1980
Formed a trio when he and Mary Sue moved in together (1982)
Recorded 10 songs at The Studio with the trio (1983)
Performance venues: The Ice House (Pasadena), Palomino Club (Hollywood), At My Place (Santa Monica), and various Santa Monica restaurants

The Demo Years

1985-1994
A lyric writing course at UCLA with Kaye Parker led to a fateful connection with Sunny Hilden in 1985. For 12 years, Sunny became Greg's "one-stop shopping" for songwriter demos, crafting professional recordings using Logic and keyboards.
